On Thursday, April 22, 2010 Minnesota CLE and the Minnesota State Bar Association’s (MSBA’s) Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law Section will sponsor the 6th Annual Minnesota Environmental Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The all day CLE features a keynote address by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 Program Analyst Brooke Furio entitled: “Sustainable Development Concepts, Land Revitalization Efforts, and Environmental Protection.” The session will also provide case law updates on air, water, Superfund and environmental review issues. Attendees will be able to choose from a number of breakout sessions on a range of topics of interest including a track of “Environmental Basics” sessions. Joseph G. Maternowski, an environmental law attorney who serves as Chair of the MSBA’s Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law Section will present the Section’s Distinguished Service Award to a member of the environmental bar selected by their peers in practice.
The cost of the 2010 Minnesota Environmental Institute is $225 for MSBA members, $225 for paralegals and a $275 standard rate. Discounted tuition of $100 is available to persons who work for the government, public institutions, or non-profit organizations. This tuition discount is sponsored by the MSBA Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law Section and is limited to the first 20 qualifying applicants. This discount is not available online.
